In some places in Sweden, turf associations have been created to be able to coordinate different activities.
First one out was Kalmar Turfförening that was was formed on 27 October 2013.
In 2014 Turf Karlstad, Turf Göteborg and Turf08 in Stockholm were formed.
Turf Örebro (2015), Turf Skåne (2016), Jönköpings Turfsällskap (2016), Turf Västmanland (2017) and Turf Västerbotten (2019) are the latest associations.
