Lapland are two different counties in the northernmost parts of the two countries Sweden and Finland which has once historically been one and the same county.

Lapland (swedish: Lappland) in Sweden

Lappland is a county in northernmost Sweden that has about 92 000 inhabitants. In Turf the county includes most of the regions Norrbotten as well as Västerbotten. A smaller part of this county also includes Jämtland. The county is Sweden's largest in area and covers approximately a quarter of the entire country's surface.

The county consists mainly of the twelve municipalities Arjeplog, Arvidsjaur, Dorotea, Gällivare, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, Lycksele, Malå, Sorsele, Storuman, Vilhelmina and Åsele. A smaller part of Strömsunds is also part of the county.

Lappi is a historical county in northernmost Finland that in Turf includes the region Lappi (Lapland), which now encompasses the modern county of Lappi (lapland).

The historical county inckudes the eight municipalities Inari (Enare), Enontekiö (Enontekis), Kittilä, Muonio, Pelkosenniemi, Savukoski, Sodankylä and Utsjoki.
