Aberdeen City is a municipality in the region of Scotland in the United Kingdom. The municipality has about 227,000 inhabitants and is located in the eastern part of the region.

Location[edit]

Aberdeen City is located in the east of Scotland.

With the exception of the coastal strip, the municipality is completely surrounded by the municipality of Aberdeenshire.

Urban areas[edit]

Aberdeen is the administrative capital of the municipality and is the third largest city, with around 200,000 inhabitants, in Scotland, after Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Other towns within the municipality are Bridge of Don, Cove Bay, Cults, Dyce, Kingswells, Milltimber and Peterculter.
