Porvoo (Borgå) is a municipality (city) in the region of Etelä-Suomi (Southern Finland) in Finland. Porvoo has about 50 000 inhabitants and the city is located in the province of Uusimaa.

Location
The coastal city of Porvoo is located on the northern coast of the Gulf of Finland and the river Porvoonjoki. Porvoo is bordering to the Sipoo to the west, Pornainen to the northwest, Askola to the north and Loviisa to the east.
