Växjö is a municipality in the region of Kronoberg in Sweden. The municipality has about 95,700 inhabitants and is located in its entirety in the province of Småland.

LocationEdit

The municipality is located in the central parts of the province of Småland. Adjacent municipalities are Uppvidinge and Lessebo in the east, Tingsryd in the south and Alvesta in the west, all in Kronoberg county and Sävsjö and Vetlanda in Jönköping county in the north.

The urban area Växjö is the largest with approximately 71,000 inhabitants and constitutes the municipality's central city.

Other urban areas in the municipality are Braås, Furuby, Gemla, Ingelstad, Lammhult, Nöbbele, Rottne, Tävelsås, Åby and Åryd.
