Kyūshū Okinawa (Kyūshū) is a region in southwestern Japan. The region covers the island Kyūshū and a number of smaller islands nearby, including Okinawa and the Ryukyu islands more to the south (the prefectures: Fukuoka, Kagoshima, Kumamoto, Miyazaki, Nagasaki, Ōita, Okinawa and Saga) and has about 13 million inhabitants.
