Pohjois-Suomi (Northern Finland) is one of seven regions in Finland. Pohjois-Suomi is Finnish and means Northern Finland. The region borders with Itä-Suomi (Eastern Finland) in the south, Länsi- ja Sisä-Suomi (Western and Inner Finland) in the south west, Lappi (Lapland) in the north and Russia in the east.
