Västernorrland is one of 21 regions in Sweden that covers 21 678 square kilometers and has approximately 240 000 inhabitants. The biggest town in Västernorrland is Sundsvall and this is also the town with the most Turf zones, although Härnösand is the actual seat of Västernorrland. The regions close by are Gävleborg in south, Jämtland in west and Västerbotten in the north.
