Results of round 35[edit]

Five weeks of hard competition is to an end today, and we have as always a winner! Once again kingenin brings back the gold to Kalmar, for the fourth time actually! Having four Gold medals is unique and kingenin is the first turfer to achieve this, congratulations :-) During this round she was also first to collect the 2 500 unique zones medal and the Finland Explorer medal, also very impressing! Silver medal ended up in Uppsala with TriggerHappy, and bronze landed in Jönköping with hampew. All three medalists well over 500 000 points, it's hard work to snatch a medal these days! Congratulations to the three of you :-)

Turf launches in the UK![edit]

As many of you probably have seen, zones are starting to pop up in the UK. This is just some teaser zones to make people aware of the biggest launch ever in Turf, which is coming up very soon! On the 15th of June the map of UK will explode in an ocean of yellow zones, the zonemakers are still busy behind the scenes, making the final touches. The first wave of zones will include about 75 of the major cities in the UK, so you can imagine what a workload this have been :-)

We need You to tell everyone you know about this launch! Turf coming to UK is a massive event and we all want it to be a success, so now is the time for every dedicated turfer to spread the word! If you're going to London over the weekend, bring some Turf posters! Visiting friends in Manchester? Bring some Turf posters! Going on a whiskey trip in Scotland? Turfstickers fits nicely on the whiskey casks ;-)

The Turf crew have a heavy marketing plan in place and we will work very hard to get people in the UK to find out about Turf, but the best way to spread Turf is always you turfers telling friends and colleagues about the game, so we do need everyones help in this launch! :-)

Team turfing![edit]

I have been talking about the Turf series and team turfing before, but this round a challenge from Stockholm to Västerås really made an impact on the game! Stockholm Slayers took on Beastmanland Maniacs in what became an epic Turf fight in many ways! Each team 21 turfers strong, and most of these 42 turfers have been turfing like crazy. More then half of the team players had a score over 200 000 and combined the regions of Stockholm and Västmanland made almost a third of the takeovers globally, quite an impact.. :-)

The competition was fun in many ways, for example Västerås players invaded Stockholm a couple of times and the word spread amongst the defenders - who hurried out to clean up the mess :-) Over five weeks the lead shifted a few times, but after about half of the round Beastmanland Maniacs managed to hold on to the lead and bring their victory home. Well deserved, I might add, and the Västerås team players well live up to their name.. ;-) This was indeed a very fun way to give Turf another dimension, and it wouldn't be possible without the help from third party developers - again, a big thanks to the turfer Knegge who made turfing in teams/series available for the community :-)
