EyeSeeYou is a turf zone in the municipality of Stockholm in the region of Stockholm in Sweden and is counted as a winner zone.

Placement[edit]

This winner zone is located at what was previously St. Erik's Eye Hospital on Flemminggatan, at the intersection with Polhemsgatan, on Kungsholmen, in the western part of central Stockholm.

St. Erik's Eye Hospital[edit]

St. Erik's Eye Hospital was previously located at Fleminggatan on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. A large part of the former hospital area is now built with housing and is called the St. Erik area. The area was originally used as the City of Stockholm's work and supply facility, named Grubbens after a previous owner of the area. In 1922, the institution was named Sankt Erik's nursing and care home, but ceased as early as 1926 after its clientele was transferred to other poor care institutions. In 1933, the institution was placed under the Stockholm City Hospital Board and was named Sankt Erik's Hospital. There were surgical (from 1927), medical (from 1940) and gynecological-obstetric outpatient clinics (from 1950).

The oldest buildings were built in 1859–1860. The former main building, with a facade facing Fleminggatan, still remains. The eye hospital was located in modern premises in the western part of the hospital area. That building was built in 1968.

The hospital building also housed the optician's education at the Karolinska Institute.

Adjacent to the eye hospital was Folktandvården's dental emergency room, which moved from the area in 2015, to Fleminggatan 48, next to Västermalmsgallerian.

There is also a health center, S:t Erik's health center, which in 2008 was spun off from the region and which is run by a private company. Karolinska University Laboratory has a sampling unit adjacent to the former hospital area.

On 27 September 2020, the eye hospital moved to Hagastaden in Solna municipality and all equipment in the old hospital property was sold at auction through the auction company Budi.[1]
