Kukkarokivi is a turfzone in the municipality of Turku in the region of Lounais-Suomi (Southwestern Finland) in Finland. The zone is located in the province of Varsinais-Suomi.

Placement

The zone is placed by the road "Kukkarokivivägen" on the island of Ruissalo.

Kukkarokivi

Kukkarokivi is a Glacial erratic and the largest one in Finland. It is 27 meters long and 17 meters high (12 meters above sea level). Kukkarokivi is a well known Natural monument and have been protected since 1965 and part of a Nature reserve since 2006.

The zone does is not placed a the Glacial erratic itself but at a vantage point.

The zone is one of many you find on the Ruissalo island unique for its nature, culture and history. Once the hunting island for the court of Turku Castle. Nearby zones are SaaronNurmi and UintiZone.
