Rumpalit[edit]

Rumpalit "The Drummers" is a sculpture by Niilo Savia (1903–1976) that was unveiled in 1966 in Turku's Tuomaanpuisto park at Kasarminkatu 6. The two meter long sculpture is made of bronze and its 3.50 meter high pedestal is made of red granite. The statue was erected in memory of the Porin läänin jalkaväkirykmentti" (Pori county infantry regiment).

One of the drummers represents a drummer from the 19th century and the other from the 1960s. The statue located in Tuomaanpuisto park in the area around the Turku old barracks was unveiled on August 7, 1966. A copy of the statue was placed in Säkylä in the Huovinrinne garrison area in 1988. On November 28, 2013, a copy of Huovinrinne's statue was unveiled near the center of Säkylä in the roundabout of regional road 204.
