Greater Manchester is bordered by Cheshire East in the south, Cheshire West and Chester in the southwest, both in the North West England, Derbyshire in the East Midlands in the southeast, West Yorkshire in Yorkshire & The Humber in northeast and Lancashire in the north and Merseyside in the west, both in the North West England.
