Lahti (Lahtis) is a municipality (city) in the region of Etelä-Suomi (Southern Finland) in Finland. Lahti has about 119 000 inhabitants and is located in the province of Päijät-Häme.

Location[edit]
Lahti is located on the Salpausselkä ridge, on the southern shore of Lake Vesijärvi (180 square kilometers). The city borders Hollola to the north and west, Heinola to the north, Iitti to the east and Orimattila to the south.
