Ortenaukreis is a district and in Turf a municipality in the region of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. The municipality has about 416,000 inhabitants and is located in the western part of the region.
Location[edit]
Nearby districts / municipalities are Landkreis Rastatt in the north, Landkreis Freudenstadt and Landkreis Rottweil in the east, Schwarzwald-Baar-Kreis in southeast och Landkreis Emmendingen in the south, all in the region of Baden-Württemberg. To the west, Rhein forms a natural border with France.

The capital and at the same time the most populous city in the Ortenaukreis is Offenburg.
