South Gloucestershire is a municipality in the region of South West England in the United Kingdom. The municipality has about 285,000 inhabitants and is located in the northeastern part of the region.


South Gloucestershire is bordered by Gloucestershire to the northeast, Wiltshire (with Swindon) to the east, Somerset ( with Bath and North East Somerset and North Somerset) in the south and City of Bristol in the southwest, all in the region of South West England.


The capital is Yate, other major cities are Bradley Stoke, Filton, Kingswood, Patchway, Stoke Gifford and Thornbury.

The most taken zone is WinstonsGoose which is located on the pedestrian and bicycle path next to the Goose Green Way - Randolph Avenue roundabout in the northern part of the capital Yate.
