Chūgoku is a region in western Japan. The region covers the western most part of the island Honshu (the prefectures: Hiroshima, Okayama, Shimane, Tottori and Yamaguchi) and has about 7,6 million inhabitats.

There are 26 turfzones in the region, where three are counted as world heritage site, two as national park zones, two as holy zones and three as bridge zones.
