Ruin zones are places with ancient remains, ruins or other abandoned or decayed buildings or constructions. In turf, ruins are a type of zones that are located at the remains of centuries-old buildings or similar objects.

There are 842 ruin zones in the world and most are in Sweden (396), followed by the United Kingdom (297) and Denmark (31).

The most taken ruin zone is OldKalmar, found in the town of Kalmar in the municipality of Kalmar in the region of Kalmar in Sweden.
