Vetlanda is a municipality in the region of Jönköping in Sweden. The municipality has about 27,500 inhabitants and is located the province of Småland.

Location[edit]

The municipality is located in the eastern part of Jönköping County and borders the municipalities Sävsjö and Nässjö in the west, Eksjö in the north, all in Jönköping County, Hultsfred in Kalmar County in the east and Uppvidinge and Växjö in Kronoberg County in the south.

Urban areas[edit]

Vetlanda is the largest urban area with approximately 13,700 inhabitants and constitutes a municipal center.

Other urban areas in the municipality are Björköby, Ekenässjön, Holsbybrunn, Korsberga, Kvillsfors, Landsbro, Myresjö, Nye, Pauliström, Sjunnen and Skede.
