South Gloucestershire is a municipality in the region of South West England in the United Kingdom. The municipality has about 285,000 inhabitants and is located in the northeastern part of the region.

Location[edit]

South Gloucestershire is bordered by Gloucestershire to the northeast, Wiltshire (with Swindon) to the east, Somerset ( with Bath and North East Somerset and North Somerset) in the south and City of Bristol in the southwest, all in the region of South West England.

Cities[edit]

The capital is Yate, other major cities are Bradley Stoke, Filton, Kingswood, Patchway, Stoke Gifford and Thornbury.
