Placement[edit]

This turf zone is located in the grounds of Brodie Castle, a National Trust owned property near the main A96 road between Forres and Nairn.

Brodie Castle[edit]

The original castle was built in 1567 by Clan Brodie but was destroyed by fire in 1645 by Lewis Gordon of Clan Gordon. The Brodie family called the castle home until the early 21st century when it was sold to the National Trust and is now open to the public along with the castle grounds and a 'Playful Garden'. Brodie Castle gardens are home to over 200 different named varieties of daffodil.
