Quarry Wood[edit]
Quarry Wood (also known as Quarrelwood and Quarrywood) is an ancient forest which contains several old quarries and has been the site of the discovery of fish and reptile fossils, including the dog sized dinosaur Elginia Mirabilis. There are several signposted walking trails in the woods with information boards about the history of the forest.
