Its located at a bridge over the small lake Tjörnin (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈtʰjœrtn̥ɪn], The Pond) in Reykjavik. The bridge leads to Reykjavík's City Hall (Ráðhús Reykjavíkur). The zone is very central and close to for example the national parliament (Alþingi) and Reykjavík Cathedral.
