Results of round 29
Mazarin is the name of a tasty pastry, probably named after the kardinal Jules Mazarin (1602-1661). It's also the name of the turfer who managed to smash records into gravel, already three weeks into this round. The quite unbeliveable accomplishment to score over 900.000 points and making over 5000 takeovers in one round will probably be unbested for quite some time! I think I speak for the entire Turf community when I take of my hat and humbly congratulate Mazarin for this remarkable achievment :-) In second place we have the Malmö turfer tremorbalk, also on a quite massive score of 500.000 points and the bronze goes to Jönköping and MadMajk. Congrats to the three of You! Another fun thing to see is that the Netherlands got its first top 10 turfer at sixth place, ADRA, not bad :-)
Alpha testing Turf on the iPhone
As of today, a pre alpha version of Turf is live! About 30 happy alpha testers will be able to turf on their iPhones at this first stage. Very exciting indeed! Will iPhone turfers be as hardcore as the Android ones? Will we see epic battles between the two platforms? Will the iPhone GPS be Turf-worthy? Regional prizes in Sweden
This round was the first in Turf history with real sponsored prizes for the regional winners in Sweden! The happy winners will be able to get on the train and travel anywhere they like in Sweden, in first class (!) and hopefully find new interesting places where they can turf! :-) We thank SJ who made this possible and congratulate the regional winners!
Turf needs You!
If You're from South Korea, The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway or Finland we need You! We would very much come in contact with turfers that would be interested in joining the Turf Crew as an international marketing person. This means You would spend your own time marketing Turf in your country, in forums, blogs, news sites, news papers and TV. Of course this would be on a volunteer basis and the reward would be a much greater game when more people join in!
