There can be only two, three million takeovers and UK launch!

Results of round 36[redigera]

Last round we had Kingenin taking her fourth Gold medal, doing so being the first and only to achieve this so far in Turf history. Of course this wouldn't last longer then four weeks, and now a second turfer can title himself Gold medalist four times over. Who else then Mazarin, who lead Team Östergötland to an easy victory over the half-danes in Skåne. As usual Mazarin didnt let any opponent come close and the road to his fourth Gold medal was filled with many, many takeovers. Speaking of Skåne, both Silver and Bronze ended up down there this round! Liljeswish with over 3 000 takeovers came in second place, well ahead of the former gold medalist Kaninmage in third place. A big congrats to the medalists!

Turf launched in the UK![redigera]

On the 15th of June, Turf launched officially in the UK. The launch itself was quite smooth and actually it didnt take much time before some turfers started to show up on the map :-) Many touristing turfers also have been taking the opportunity to have a look at some UK zones, which always is fun! Now we just have to hope for more brits to find our awesome game, as always remember to tell friends, colleagues and relatives in the UK that they now have a chance to become outdoor addicted :-)

Millions of takeovers, zone reports on issues.turfgame.com and Open Turf Events[redigera]

The second day of this round, the three millionth takeover was made! This means that we made one million takeovers in less than a year, not bad at all! The lucky man to make the takeover was EzGenesis in Västerås, for that awesome effort he'll be recieving a Nexus 7 tablet in his mailbox :-) Congrats!

Last week we started to move our bad zone reports from the forum to the issueweb. We started by moving reports from only three regions (Stockholm, Västmanland and Östergötland) but after a small testing period all other regions will follow. We do this because we want to streamline all our issues and have them in one place and keeping the forum clean for discussions. It will also be much easier for everyone involved to keep track of zone reports and adding screenshots or photos of bad zones. We're quite sure that this change will make reporting zones both easier and faster! See the forum for more information.

As some of you may have noticed, there are two upcoming Open Turf Events in the near future! An Open Turf Event is not as fancy as a Bonanza, you wont get a Bonanza Medal but an Event Medal, it's also a bit less heavy on planning and a Turf Event is not as regulated as a Bonanza. Every arranger of an OTE (Open Turf Event) is free to make the event as they wish. It could be an event that lasts for 10 hours, or an event that may have a fee to enter etc etc. These events can be arranged by anyone, and as I wrote earlier there are two upcoming events - one in Jönköping and one in Odense. If you are interested in participating, head over to the forums and sign up! :-)
