Up until the [[Bonanza ]] in [[Kommun:Stockholm|Stockholm]], [[Användare:ZonerX |ZonerX]] was fighting with [[Användare:M0112|M0112 ]] from [[Region:Åland|Åland ]] for the [[Gold medal|gold]], but after a trip over the sea to attend the Bonanaza[[Bonanza]], [[Användare:M0112 |M0112]] lost too much and had to be satisfied to add a [[silver medal ]] to his [[Bronze medal|bronze ]] from a couple of rounds ago. Finally [[Användare:grock|grock ]] from [[Region:Norrbotten|Norrbotten ]] secured enough points for his first [[Bronze medal]].

== [[Bonanza:Stockholm 2019|Bonanza 2019 ]] - 18th of May in [[Kommun:Stockholm|Stockholm]] ==The [[Bonanza:Stockholm 2019|Bonanza of 2019 ]] took place in [[Kommun:Stockholm |Stockholm]] on the 18th of May. The weather forecast a couple of days before the event was not very positive, but they were wrong. The day came with mostly sunshine, some clouds and lots of turfers :) Unfortunately the first part of the Bonanza, the foot event, had some major issues. Both due to some Turf server optimizing issues that can only be tested at events as big as the Bonanza. Drassen did his best fast problem solving on a bench in the sunshine and this part of the issue was solved after 30-40 min. The other problem was an unfortunate update from Google just the days before the Bonanza. No real fix could be applied, reinstalling an older version of Turf was helpful for some turfers, and others had no problems whatsoever. The winners of the Foot Event was Raudonvirsis (gold), Episode666 (silver) and RunOlofRun (bronze). The winners of the Bike Event was MrJokerit (gold), Eddyueue (silver) and MerCurious (bronze). Congrats to a Bonanza well done! == Turf Meetings ==During the Ascension Day weekend I went to [[Kommun:Kalmar |Kalmar]] with some fellow [[Kommun:Uppsala |Uppsala]] turfers. The goal was to collect unique zones, which we did, and enjoy the good weather (only a few drops of rain found us) and meet fellow turfers. On Friday we met up with four [[Kommun:Kalmar|Kalmar ]] turfers for lunch at a very nice vegetarian all-you-can-eat restaurant. It is always fun to exchange experiences and obsess about zones, the ones you love and the ones you hate, but take anyway!

On Saturday me and my partner had very few zones left in [[Kommun:Kalmar|Kalmar]], so we headed west to Nybro, a small city we had visited four years earlier and 'painted white' (meaning we took every zone there, and since this was before Assist, we did it by planning a route where we could bike to all zones in a kind of circle, where we took the zones from each other for half the session). Four years later, Nybro looked like it had a severe case of rubella; red zones among the white ones everywhere! We had over 40 unique zones to explore and add to our collection, yay!

We parked our car by the glass hut Pukaberg, took down our bikes and headed off. Ploff! A local turfer showed up and blocked the first unique zone for us. So we shouted out ”Assist” in the chat and eventually met up with him; [[Användare:Podde|Podde]], a junior high student. He had been a turfer for three months and really enjoyed playing the game. He became our guide, or we his...since we did end up taking [[Zon:LångaKärret|LångaKärret ]] together and it was his first take.
