Congratulations to the winners of [[Omgång 121|round 121]]: [[Användare: Jajk |Jajk]] from [[Region: Värmland |Värmland]] in [[Land: Sverige|Sweden ]] for the [[Gold medal|Gold]]. [[Användare: Firren |Firren]] from [[Region: Jönköping|Jönköping ]] in Sweden for the [[Silver medal|Silver]]. [[Användare: GW007|GW007 ]] from [[Region: Kalmar|Kalmar ]] in Sweden for the [[Bronze medal|Bronze]].

Also worth mentioning are the next two runner-ups: [[Användare: M0112 |M0112]] from [[Region: Lounais-Suomi|Lounais-SuomiinSuomi]]/[[Land: Finland|Finland ]] took fourth place and [[Användare: Aicar |Aicar]] from [[Region: Åland|Åland]]/Finland took fifth place. It´s only a matter of time until the Finns beat all Swedes and takes the top positions in the rounds!

All major events [[event]]s are canceled due to the ongoing pandemic, but around the [[Land|countries]], some smaller, local events have been held. I myself have not been visiting any of them and do not have my own report but I have intercepted some rumors that I followed up on and searched for reports on different websites.

Nobody can have missed that it was the 10th anniversary of Turf on July 10th, or?! If you Me and my turf partner [[Användare: qivasaa|qivasaa]] took 10 zones during the day, you were rewarded with a nice cake medal. All supporters' could go into trip from Östervåla in the wardrobe and find a party hat municipality of [[Kommun: Heby|Heby]] over Dalälven to wear and a party horn to put Hedesunda in their mouth. When you then took a zone, the arms municipality of [[Kommun: Gävle|Gävle]] and the avatar went up as usual, but now the party horn 10^th [[zon]]e that was also rolled out! This taken was really fun![[Zon: Busscafe|Busscafe]] in Vinnersjö. In addition to the virtual cake medal, we had strawberry cake and coffee to celebrate Turf's 10 years.

Me and my turf partner qivasaa took a trip We were not alone in celebrating, there were posts from Östervåla over Dalälven to Hedesunda and the 10th zone that was taken was BussCafé turfers in Vinnersjö. In addition to the virtual cake medalvarious different social media, we had strawberry hangouts and chats where they boasted with hats and cake and coffee to celebrate medals. On social media, you can read about memories from various [[Turfare|turfers ]] from these 10 years. They describe how they started turfing, memorable zone takes and other fun that happened during the ten years that ''[[Turf ]]'' has existed. The app developer company [[Andrimon]], with [[Användare: Drassen |Drassen]] and Simon, started everything up and they have gradually expanded and refined the whole concept. From a few isolated zones and turfers to today's almost countless zones and turfers scattered across the globe. If you want to know how the number of zones has changed, you can always go to UrbanGeek's [http://turf.urbangeeks.org/ page], and use the [[Turf Map Tool|tool ]] to scroll back in time and see the zone situation change over the years. It is a great development and a lot of work that lies behind the game development, zoning, corrections and administration of various kinds. Here, [[Turf Crew ]] has a very big role to play all around. Then we have all [[Tredjepartsinnehåll|third-party developers ]] who have developed statistics pages, challenges and various different mapping tools that provide many different dimensions in Turf.

By the way, did you know that the first official zone was [[Zon: NackaZone|"NackaZone" ]] located east of [[Stockholm ]] and it was taken by the second registered tour guide turfer [[Användare: hence|"hence"]]. The [[Kalmar Turfförening|Kalmar Turf Association ]] invites all [[Turfare|Turfers ]] to [[Event:Kalmar Duo Turf 2020|Kalmar Duo Turf 2020]]. On September 12, the [[event ]] will be conducted in two heat, one for [[Gång|walking]]/[[Löpning|jogging ]] during 60 minutes and one for [[Cykel|cycling ]] during 90 minutes. 11 regions [[region]]s have signed up for the multi region battle Sverigekampen 2020, which will take place in September. These regions are now working to fill the teams with fighting [[Turfare|turfers]], setting up strategies and pep each other. It will be a tough match to win and which region will emerge victorious from the battle remains to be seen. More about it at: https://www.uturf.se/?p=56150

The [[Bonanza:Örebro 2020|Turf Bonanza 2020 ]] in [[Örebro ]] had to be canceled due to the ongoing pandemic and thus there was no distribution of the famous [[Turf AwardsAward]]s. These are awarded to [[Turfare|turfers ]] who excelled in different categories. First, it was a [[Turf Award Nomineringar 2019|nomination round]]. It was interesting to see who had excelled and in what way they had done it. Then it was voting that decided who won each category. It was very exciting to find out who had won the different categories. Until now, only a few [[Turf crew Crew]] members have known about the result, but here it is now presented to you all!

Turfer [[Användare: Kygni |Kygni]] got 126 of 235 votes = 53,6 %

Kygni was nominated for being the first and so far only turfer who has taken more than two million [[Poäng|points ]] during one [[Omgång|round]]. The fact that he achieved this feat by taking multiple unique and spectacular [[Vattenzoner|water]]- and swamp zones makes this accomplishment much more impressive. He was cheered on by fans and spectators who were able to track his progress on "[[Turf-TV]]" during the last 24 hours of [[Omgång 108|round 108]].

Turfer [[Användare: whitebike |whitebike]] got 102 of 196 votes = 52,0 %

whitebike was nominated for being a newcomer who has taken more than 3 million [[Poäng|points ]] and 17,000 zones in one year, allowing him to advance from from [[Rank#Lista över ranker|Novice Scout ]] to [[rank ]] 46 [[Rank#Lista över ranker|Turf Preacher ]] in [[2019]].

Turfer [[Användare: HappyF |HappyF]] got 96 of 220 votes = 43,6 %

HappyF was nominated for providing the excellent and constantly evolving statistics site https://turf.lundkvist.com/See also [[TurfKommuner]].

Turfer [[Användare: Kygni |Kygni]] got 75 of 221 votes = 33,9 %

Kygni was nominated for taking the difficult zone Kobbezon [[Zon: Kobbezone|Kobbezone]] and for taking the zone [[Zon: Seglaren |Seglaren]] in December by swimming out only wearing underwear.

[[Turf Crew ]] congratulates the winners! The statuettes will be distributed at Bonanzan [[Bonanza]]n in [[Örebro ]] in May 29, [[2021]]. Don't miss it!

 Not going abroad for vacation for most people this year has lead to a bunch of [[Medaljer|medals ]] for the [[Turfare|Turfers]]. Several big value medals have been seen in the flow at https://turfgame.com/: [[Sweden Explorer]], [[10000 unique zonesUnique]], [[Take-100000 takes ]] and so on. In the lead of taking [[Zon#Unik_zon|unique turf zones ]] is the one and only [[Användare: Snusmumriken|Snusmumriken ]] who passed 16000 unique Turf zones in July!

Skåne region has had this for a while, but now Västerbotten region has also launched a Turf Classic. See Västerbotten in a new way! Some quirky ideas that have become a reality in the form of both possible and sometimes impossible assignments to tackle.

When I sometimes lose my appetite for ''[[Turf ]]'' and lie on the couch at home, I usually find inspiration from [[Turf-TV]], reports in social media and gossip in the app chat (different regions can be listened to via UrbanGeeks [[Turf Tuner]], [https://turftuner.urbangeeks.org/ Turftunerhere]), different groups on Facebook, different Hangouts that you have managed to join. Many different subjects are discussed and you sometimes have to sift among the stories so as not to get tired.

One of the most important channels for me is Instagram where I follow a few different [[Turfare|Turfers]], here I give some examples: [[Användare: Ventoux|Ventoux ]] (phototurfing) who goes on adventures with his small-wheeled bike, 60-80 and sometimes up to 100 kilometers per day, with zone shots along the way and he documents his turf path with just enough pictures and good descriptive text. [[Användare: Snusmumriken|Snusmumriken ]] (monost63) in [[Linköping ]] is also always inspiring to follow with her tireless energy to bike and take zones, unique zones and with pictures of most of the zones! [[Användare: Canon|Canon ]] (CanonTurf) in [[Nyköping ]] has an ability to capture dawn, dusk and other beautiful things in our beautiful country. [[Användare: Tantorange|Tantorange ]] (Dillpion) in [[Skellefteå ]] is another diligent photographer of turf zones with a nice touch, you get the urge to go back to Skellefteå and the surrounding area and take zones. These were just a few examples, there are many more turfers to follow, search on Instagram for turf!
