'''Naantali''' is a municipality in the [[region]] of [[Lounais-Suomi]] (Southwestern Finland) in [[Country:Finland|Finland]]. Naantali (Swedish: Nådendal) is a town in south-western Finland, known as one of the most important tourist centres of the country. The municipality has a population of 19,250 (31 January 2019).
One of the oldest towns in Finland, Naantali was founded around the mediaeval Brigittine convent [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C3%A5dendal_Abbey Vallis gratiae], the church of which still dominates its skyline. The charter was signed by [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_of_Bavaria King Christopher] of Sweden, the then ruler of Finland, in 1443.
