The zone is located at a abandoned [[farm]] to the west of the village of [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rothes Rothes]]. It is reached by following the road uphill from [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Glenrothes_distillery Glenrothes Distillery]] which then becomes a rough track.
