South America is a continent entirely in the Western Hemisphere and mostly in the Southern Hemisphere, with a relatively small portion in the Northern Hemisphere and has about 420 million inhabitants.
The continent generally includes twelve sovereign states as everyone except Guyana has at least one turf zone.
In none of the countries in South America is turf officially launched, so all countries in their entirety constitute their own region.
