Gyeonggi is one of 15 regions in South Korea. It is a province in the northwestern part of the country. The province is the country's most populous province with 11.7 million inhabitants. The capital is Suwon. The province consists largely of suburban areas around Seoul, the country's capital, and Seoul and its port city Incheon are located as separate administrative units in the western part of the province. Together with Gyeonggi Province, these two cities constitute one of the world's most populous metropolitan areas, with approximately 25 million inhabitants.
