HolyElgin is a turf zone in the municipality of Moray in the region of Scotland in United Kingdom and is counted as a ruin zone.
Placement
The zone is located at the ruin of a cathedral in the centre of Elgin. It is necessary to pay for entry to the cathedral grounds, but possible to take the zone from outside the fence.
Elgin Cathedral
Elgin Cathedral was established in the year 1224 and damaged by fire on 3 separate occasions in the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries. It is now a historic ruin and maintenance and visiting are managed by Historic Scotland .
