== The Rökeri roundabout ==
The Rökeri roundabout is located in [[Municipality: Mariehamn|Mariehamn]]. From the roundabout departs Ålands four mayor highways: Highway 1 to the west and [[Municipality: Eckerö|Eckerö]], Highway 3 to the east and [[Municipality: Lemland|Lemland]] and Highway 2 and Highway 4 both going north to towards [[Godby]] and ending up in [[Municipality: Vårdö|Vårdö]] as well as [[Municipality: Geta|Geta]].
The roundabout got its name from the fish smokehouse that was previously located at the site south of Lemlandsvägen. The smokehouse was established in 1951 by Knut Strandberg at the smokehouse crossing in [[Municipality: Jomala|Jomala kommun]]. In 1961, the area was incorporated with Mariehamn. The Åland authority redeemed the facility with land area and the intersection was rebuilt into a roundabout. After that, Knut Strandberg became a tenant until the liquidation in 1990. The building was demolished in the early 1990s.
Today there is a grill just east of the roundabout, called Rökerikiosken but is better known as Rökka. There is a zone there [[Zone: Rökka|with same name]].
