A World Heritage Site is a place (such as a building, city, complex, desert, forest, island, lake, monument, or mountain) that is listed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as being of special cultural or physical significance (source: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Heritage_Site wikipedia]).

There is [https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/ 1121] World Heritage on [https://en.unesco.org/ UNESCO's] World Heritage List and [https://lundkvist.com/?country=SP15&countrySP=%23ALLA%23 1072] World Heritage Zones in the world.

Only one [[Zone|turf zone]] per World Heritage Site can be counted as a World Heritage Zone. This also applies when the world heritage covers many countries.
