Hundbanan or "the dog track's" name for the exercise ladder stems from the fact that the small sidecars that were previously used to transport away the waste stones from the quarry were called dogs. The dog track, which is now a mountain of waste stones, began to grow in the 1930s.
The height difference of the exercise track is 50 meters and it has a slope of about 16 degrees and is 180 meters long with 470 steps.
