Gotland is one of 21 regions in Sweden, corresponding to the county with the same name. The largest of Sweden's islands, Gotland located in the Baltic Sea to the east of Öland, makes up most of the land area of the region. The region also includes Fårö, Gotska Sandön and a number of smaller islands.
