Zuid-Holland (South Holland) is one of twelve regions in the Netherlands. The region includes the province of the same name and has about four million inhabitants.
The provincial capital is Den Haag while the largest city is Rotterdam.
Adjacent regions are Noord-Holland (North Holland) in the north, Utrecht and Gelderland in the east, Noord -Brabant (North Brabant) in the southeast and Zeeland in the southwest.
