Norrskata is a turfzone in Pargas in the region of Lounais-Suomi (Southwestern Finland) in Finland. The zone is located in the county of Varsinais-Suomi.

Placement

The zone is placed on the island of Norrskata the second largets island of Korpo at the ferry pass that goes to GaltbyZone.

Norrskata

The resident population consists of far fewer than a hundred people, but during the summer months the number of inhabitants multiplies. On the island there is, among other things, a grocery store (Alexandra's which is open in summer), two summer restaurants, a guest harbor, rental cottages and a church. The church was built of wood in the 1930s.

Norrskata was previously an island full of life and was still inhabited in the 1950s by about 600 people, but since then, urbanization has led to a decline in population. Norrskata has had a post office, bank, pharmacy, bakery and much more that today mostly belongs to history. The primary school was closed as late as 2000.
