Inari (swedish: Enare, Inari Sami: Aanaar; Skolt Sami: Aanar; Northern Sami: Anár) is a municipality in the region of Lappi (Lappland) in Finland. The municipality has about 6 900 inhabitants and is as a whole located in the historical province of Lapland. It is Finlands largets municipality by size.
LocationEdit
Inare is located in the northern most part of Finland and is the only municipality that borders to both Norway and Russia.
Bordering municipalities are Sodankylä in the south, Kittilä and Enontekiö (Enontekis) in the southwest, Kautokeino and Karasjok (in Norway) in the west, Utsjoki in the north as well as Sør-Varanger (in Norway) in the northeast. The municipality also borders to Russia in the east.
Urban areasEdit
Ivalo is the largest urban area with about 3 100 inhabitants.
Other urban areas are the church village of Inari, Saariselkä and Teponmäki.

There are twelve turfzones in Inari, where one is counted as a national park zone, two as holy zones and one as a bridge zone.
The most taken zone is IvalonKirkko that is located by the Ivalo church in northern Ivalo.
