Nordjylland (North Jutland) is one of five regions in Denmark and has about 600,000 inhabitants and is located furthest north on the peninsula Jutland.
The region includes Denmark's fourth largest city, Aalborg, Frederikshavn which has a ferry connection with Sweden and Skagen at the northern tip of Jutland.
