Takeover time is a central game element in Turf. The takeover time determines the time a player needs to be in a zone to complete a take.

The higher the rank, the shorter the takeover time. For your takeover time, see table here.

Description[edit]

The takeover time is represented by a zone taking bar on the left side of the screen that is gradually filled. The zone takeing bar will be completely green after as many seconds as the player's current takeover time consists of, resulting in the player performing a take. The bar is only visible when the GPS is on and the player is in a zone.

Duration[edit]

The takeover time varies between 18 and 30 seconds based on the player's rank. The takeover time starts at 30 seconds for new players (rank 0) and decreases by 0.2 seconds per rank down to a minimum of 18 seconds for a player with rank 60.

Bonuses[edit]

The bonuses Region Lord and the GPS bonus affect the takeover time directly and give five seconds shorter takeover time each. The shortest possible takeover time will therefore be 8 seconds for players with a rank of 60 and 20 seconds for new players who hold both bonuses at the same time.

Event and Bonanza[edit]

Special rules for takeover time apply when participating in Event and Bonanza.
