Tōhoku is a region in northern Japan. The Region covers the north part of the island Honshu (the prefectures: Akita, Aomori, Fukushima, Iwate, Miyagi and Yamagata) and has about nine million inhabitants.

There are 15 turfzones in the region, where two are counted as world heritage sites, two as train station zones, three as national park zones and two as holy zones.
