Tiirismaa is a turfzone in the municipality of Hollola in the region of Etelä-Suomi (Southern Finland) in Finland. The zone is located in the province of Päijät-Häme and it is counted as a summit zone.

Placement[edit]

This zone is placed on the Tiirismaa hill the highest point in Etelä-Suomi, north of Hollola town center.

At the summit of Tiirismaa there is a TV/Radio tower where access is prohibited. However the zone is placed on the Tiirismaan kierros (hiking trail/ski track) as close as you can get to the summit.

Tiirismaa[edit]

Tiirismaa or Tiirismäki is the highest hill in Etelä-Suomi, located in Hollola, about seven kilometers west of Lahti. The height of the hill is 223 meters above sea level.

At the top you will find Digita Oy's 327 meter high transmission mast, through which radio and TV broadcasts are broadcast in Päijät-Tavastland. The mast shares the title of tallest structure in Finland with the public radio mast in Haapavesi.
