Inari (swedish: Enare, Inari Sami: Aanaar; Skolt Sami: Aanar; Northern Sami: Anár) is a municipality in the region of Lappi (Lappland) in Finland. The municipality has about 6 900 inhabitants and is as a whole located in the historical county of Lappland. It is Finlands largets municipality by size.

Location
Inare is located in the northern most part of Finland and is the only municipality that borders to both Norway and Russia.
Bordering municipalities are Sodankylä in the south, Kittilä and Enontekiö (Enontekis) in the southwest, Kautokeino and Karasjok (in Norway) in the west, Utsjoki in the north as well as Sør-Varanger (in Norway) in the northeast. The municipality also borders to Russia in the east.
Urban areas
Ivalo is the largest urban area with about 3 100 inhabitants.
Other urban areas are the church village of Inari, Saariselkä and Teponmäki.
