Baden-Württemberg is a region in southwestern Germany. The region encompasses the bundesland with the same name and has about 11 miljon inhabitants.
Bordering regions are Rheinland-Pfalz (Rhineland-Palatinate) in the northwest, Hessen (Hesse) in the north, Bayern (Bavaria) in the east, Switzerland in the south and France in the west.
