Kansai is a region in southern Japan. The Region covers the southern part of the island Honshu (the prefectures: Hyōgo, Kyoto, Mie, Nara, Osaka, Shiga and Wakayama) and has about 23 million inhabitants.

There are 183 turfzones in the region, where five are counted as world heritage sites, one as a water zone, five as train station zones, two as national park zones, 29 as holy zones and twelve as bridge zones.
