Scotland is one of twelve regions in the United Kingdom. The region encompasses the country of the same name and has about 5,5 million inhabitants.

The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh while the largest city is Glasgow. Other major cities are Aberdeen and Dundee.

Adjacent regions are North East England and North West England in the south.
