Flevoland is one of twelve regions in the Netherlands. The region includes the province of the same name and has about 420,000 inhabitants.
The province's capital is Lelystad while the largest city is Almere.
Adjacent regions are Friesland in the north, Overijssel in the east, Gelderland in the southeast, Utrecht in the southwest and Noord-Holland (North Holland) in the west.
