Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is a region in northeastern Germany. The region encompasses the bundesland with the same name and has two million inhabitants.

Bordering regions are Brandenburg in the south, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) in the southwest, Schleswig-Holstein in the west and Poland in the east.
