South West England is one of twelve regions in the United Kingdom. It consists of the counties of Bristol, Cornwall (including the Isles of Scilly), Dorset, Devon, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire and has about five million inhabitants.

The largest city is City of Bristol, other of the region's most populous towns are Cheltenham, Exeter, Gloucester, Plymouth and Swindon.

Adjacent regions are Wales in the northwest, West Midlands in the north and South East England in the east.
